PEI Potato Peeling Competition

How It Works

1. Two age categories compete separately: Youth (10–17 years) go first, followed by Adults (18+).
2. Up to 16 contestants per category, with 8 per sitting.
3. Competitors must peel potatoes to an acceptable standard as set by the judges.
4. Potatoes will be weighed for most pounds peeled in ten (10) minutes.
5. Participants select their peeling tool before competition begins — no changes during the event.
6. Aprons, gloves, and peelers are supplied. Some spots held for exhibition-day registration.
7. If a contestant cuts themselves and bleeding occurs, they face disqualification.
8. Judges' decision is final.
